Roles and Responsibilities 01
Development of contractual program including impacted schedule for extension of time (EOT):
- Development of clause 14 program (Base line schedule) contractual program, construction methodology, equipment deployment schedule as per contractual requirements in coordination with Core Methods and Engineering Group (CMEG).
- Coordinating with the CMEG department, Contracts Department, Project Controller, Project Manager, and other stakeholders for inputs.
- Ensuring timely submission of contractual obligations with respect to schedule and methods.
- Preparing the presentation.
Post Tender Project Planning Activities :
- Development of overall / annual project budget schedule and budget review.
- Preparing the presentation for kick off meeting.
- Preparing the prestart budget schedule review that includes work program with detailed time cycles, resource planning such as manpower, material & equipment.
- Preparing impacted schedule based on the delay at activity level.
- Obtaining approval from Budget Review Committee placed at Head Office.
- Ensuring preparation of schedule (Primavera / MS project), detailed work plan (activities) based on the project objectives and contractual specifications.
- Ensuring the development of schedule along with critical path for commissioning of different phases along with cost loading in Primavera P6 18.8.
- Getting validation from Section In-charges, Construction Managers before submission to Project Head.
Roles and Responsibilities 02
Specialized Roles and Responsibilities for Underground Metro Stations:
- Preparing L1 Schedule in Primavera, equipment requirement & equipment deployment schedule, time cycle, method statement and construction sequence for major activities for the construction of Underground Tunnels using with Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and Cut and Cover Method, Construction of Underground Metro Station, Elevated Metro Station, Flyovers, Specialized Bridges, Casting and Steam Curing of precast tunnel , ROB segments, Diaphragm Wall construction works and Station Works.
Roles and Responsibilities 03
Monitoring and analyzing overall project activities on an ongoing basis:
- Ongoing Monitoring of
a) Project progress in terms of adherence to timelines, turnover and profitability.
b) Cash flow and equipment performance against norms.
c) Analysis of project cost and identification of avenues for cost reduction.
d) Recommendations for corrective actions.
- Ongoing Monitoring of
e) Discussion and development of action plan for corrective measures along with Project Manager.
f) Preparations for Project Review Meetings, Client / Consultant Meetings and Quarterly review meeting at Head Office.
g) Documentation
- Regular meetings with Construction Managers, Section Incharges, CPE and other departments for budget.
- Regular modifications of project plan, schedule and budget.
- Analysis of the MIS Review
- Ensuring the maintenance of requisite data for project team performance measurement. (and provide input as required)
Roles and Responsibilities 04
Reporting project progress on a periodic basis:
- Ensuring the review of Daily Progress Report (DPR), Monthly Progress Report (MPR), Monthly flash report, WIP (work in progress) report, Executive reports (Feedback to execution) before submission to management or client.
- Providing supporting data for Management Information System (MIS.)

Key Objective of the Job Position
To ensure achievement of project objectives on time, within budget and within contractual conditions by developing an overall project plan and schedule and monitoring against the same, identifying deviations and suggesting corrective measures.
Education Qualifications
Educational Essential: BE/B-Tech- Civil
Educational Desirable: ME/M-Tech- Civil / PGDM- NICMAR / PMP Certification
Computer Software Proficiency
AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, Working Knowledge of Primavera / MS Project software is mandatory.
Experience Range
Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience as Planning In-charge out of which minimum 5 years of experience in urban infra projects.( UG Metro, Elevated Metro, Specialized Bridges).
Work Environment
Mostly office job and occasional visit to sites. Required to work on computers for long hours and pay great attention to detail. Should be able to handle stress well. Have a good knack for work-life balance. Deal & convince all types of people (including labour to Project Manager, other Team Members, Labour, Subcontractor and Clients)
