Roles and Responsibilities 01

Project planning activities for O&G BU

  • Preparation of detailed work plan (activities) based on the project objectives and contractual specifications and develop a detailed L3 schedule along with critical path for different phases in Primavera P6. Perform schedule updating and monitoring activities.
  • Development of functional schedules in level L4/L5 (deliverables & milestone level) and preparation of progress measurement systems.
  • Develop project deliverables for planning function as per requirement of contract with client such as planning package, procedures, progress reports (DPR, WPR, MPR).
  • Analyze project data to identify potential delays and risks to the project timeline and costs. Provide reports / data as and when required to management review for decision making. 
  • Implement project controls, for schedule management cost management, and risk management, to ensure that the project is progressing according to plan and that risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Organize / participate in project meetings to provide updates on the project schedule and progress, and to identify any potential issues or risks.
  • Time to time modifications of project plan, schedule, and budget in coordination with Planning In-Charge and Project Manager.
  • Understanding the budget related activities such as work plan, direct cost, indirect cost, MIS (Management Information System), cash flow. Assist in preparation of yearly project budgets.
  • Preparation of internal project report in terms of adherence to timelines, turnover, profitability, and cash flow.

Roles and Responsibilities 02

Project planning activities for O&G BU

  • Assist to manage changes to the project scope, timeline, and budget. Work with the project team to ensure that changes are properly documented and approved.
  • Preparing delay analysis and impact schedules for different phases of overall project.
  • Managing contracts with service providers. Ensure that contracts are in place, and that all parties are meeting their contractual obligations. 
  • Assist in MIS for the project and prepare executive reports for the project.
  • Manage proper project documentation systems for project, maintain the contractual documents such as letter correspondences both incoming & outgoing. 
  • Assist to prepare project close out report.

Key Objective of the Job Position

To ensure achievement of project objectives on time, within budget and within contractual conditions by developing an overall project plan and schedule and monitoring against the same, identifying deviations and suggesting corrective measures.

Education Qualifications

Educational Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Computer Software Proficiency

Primavera / MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, AutoCAD

Experience Range

Minimum 3 to 10 Years in planning activities in Oil & Gas EPC projects offshore / onshore
