Roles and Responsibilities 01
Commissioning Support:
- Assist the E&I Commissioning Manager in the commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems related to storage tank facilities.
- Oversee and manage the commissioning team to ensure that work is completed in a timely and safe manner.
- Coordinate with other project teams (Mechanical, Civil, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of E&I systems.
- Review and approve commissioning procedures and plans for the Electrical & Instrumentation systems
Site Management:
- Monitor and ensure the safety of all E&I commissioning activities on-site.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure that the E&I installation work is in accordance with approved design and project specifications.
- Resolve issues and delays arising during commissioning activities by liaising with project teams and stakeholders
Roles and Responsibilities 02
Testing and Handover:
- Supervise the testing and commissioning of E&I equipment, including electrical panels, control systems, instrumentation devices, and communication systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for the testing of equipment and systems.
- Ensure proper documentation of all commissioning tests and handover protocols, and assist in the final project documentation process.
- Provide support in preparing as-built drawings, manuals, and other technical documents for client handover.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the commissioning phase.
- Work closely with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transfer of systems to the operational phase.
Roles and Responsibilities 03
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Regularly report on commissioning progress, issues, and solutions to the E&I Commissioning Manager and Project Manager.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and ensure that all activities comply with safety and quality standards.
Team Coordination and Training:
- Provide guidance and leadership to commissioning engineers and technicians.
- Assist in the training of client personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of commissioned systems.
- Collaborate with the project team for resource planning, manpower allocation, and ensuring availability of required tools and equipment.
Key Objective of the Job Position
- The E&I Commissioning professional will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) commissioning activities for the Storage Tank EPC Project at Mundra. The role involves ensuring that the E&I systems are commissioned, tested, and handed over successfully to the client in accordance with the project’s technical and safety standards.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
- Certifications in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering (preferred)
Computer Software Proficiency
Experience Range
- 7+ years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation commissioning in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sector, preferably in storage tank EPC projects.
- Hands-on experience in commissioning activities for electrical systems, control systems, SCADA, instrumentation, and related systems.
Work Environment
- The position is based on-site at Mundra, Gujarat.
- The role will require fieldwork, and the candidate must be willing to work in a construction environment.
- Willingness to work in shifts as required, especially during critical project phases.
- Adherence to the company’s safety and health regulations at all times.
