The company provides infrastructure services and is involved in the construction of infrastructure projects such as viaducts, flyovers, metros, bridges, pipelines, roads, ports, barrages, oil and gas projects etc

Roles and Responsibilities 01

Plan and Mobilize Project

• Understanding requirement of Contract.
• Strict adherence to HSE and Environmental safety standards.
• Development of overall project quality plan and ensure its compliance.

Vendor Management

• Review of all critical deliverables such as Inspection & Test Plan, FAT procedure, NDT procedure etc. submitted by vendor.
• Coordinate with third party inspection agency to obtain quote for deputation of inspectors at vendor’s works, prepare the comparison sheet and approval note for order placement.
• Monitor the deployment of inspectors / in-house QA/QC personnel as per inspection notifications received from vendor.
• Attend pre-inspection or Kick of meetings with critical vendors .
• Visit suppliers for attending critical inspection whenever required.
• Ensure that all inspections have been performed as per approved ITP.
• Coordinate with Client or their nominated inspection agencies for various inspections.
• Ensure that inspection release note is received prior to dispatch of items.
• Monitor the performance of third-party inspection agency and conduct meetings with them whenever required.
• Review of invoices of Third-Party Inspection agency and processing further to accounts department.
• Coordination with Procurement department for submission of MRB’s from vendors and ensure that MRB’s are submitted to client.
• Prepare inspection categorization plan for submission to client.

Roles and Responsibilities 02

Site/Yard Management

• Prepare list of quality deliverables that need to be submitted to Client for review/approval.
• Expedite client / nominated agencies for approval of documents within scheduled time frame.
• Carry out random inspection / checks at site to ensure that QA/QC requirements are being met.
• Liaise with client or their nominated agencies on matter pertaining to quality and ensure that their feedback is well taken care of in improvement of quality
• Visit sites as and when required to assure quality control.
• Follow up and closure of punch points at sites.
• Obtain Inspection Release note from Client or their nominated inspection agency / certifying authority upon completion of work.

Roles and Responsibilities 03

QMS/Audit Management

• Ensure Project Quality Plan has been established and implemented.
• Monitor the project quality objectives at predetermined frequency to ensure that it is achieved and submit to Head-Quality for review.
• Monitor the non-conformance and effective implementation of the suggested   corrective or remedial actions, ensure NCR’s are closed within stipulated time frame.
• Initiate project QA audit as per scheduled audit program.
• Conduct internal audit for the project.
• Participate in internal / external QMS audit.

Lesson Learned, Seamless Communication, Performance Management System, Subordinate Development Initiatives, Role Clarity, Recognition for Exceptional performance, Enhancement of Employee Motivation & Commitment, Grievance Redressal, Contribution to Learning & Development, 

• Ensuring transparency in employee performance management. Timely completion of “Annual Performance Appraisals” and submission.
• Timely Recognition of exceptional performance. Provide Inputs for Performance management and identification of training needs.
• Discuss on lesson learnt and action to be taken to prevent the similar issues in future projects.

Key Objective of the Job Position

To ensure that the QA/QC requirements are fulfilled as per the AFCONS QMS system and project requirements. 
To control, monitor QA/QC activities at site, fabrication yards, vendor’s premises and ensure that it is complied to client requirements

Education Qualifications

Educational Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering

Educational Desirable: Certification in welding/painting/NDT (BGAS, NACE, CSWIP, AWS, ASNT)

Computer Software Proficiency

Experience Range

12-15 Years of experience in QA/QC in oil and gas construction projects out of which minimum 8 years of experience shall be in offshore Projects.
