Roles and Responsibilities 01

 

  • Manage and supervise the mechanical construction of crude oil tankages using the jacking method from project initiation through to completion.
  • Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure adherence to project specifications and requirements during the construction phase.
  • Lead and coordinate activities of mechanical engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to achieve project milestones and deadlines effectively.
  • Monitor project progress, procurement activities, logistics, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to enforce adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Implement robust risk management strategies to identify and mitigate project risks and issues promptly.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment among project teams and stakeholders.

Key Objective of the Job Position

Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team for Construction of Crude Oil Tankages using the jacking method. This role is pivotal in overseeing the mechanical aspects of construction activities at our Mundra site. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in mechanical engineering, particularly in jacking methods for tank construction, and a proven track record in managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects within the oil and gas sector.

Education Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, jacking methods, construction materials, and relevant industry standards and codes.
  • Strong project management skills with a successful track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Computer Software Proficiency

MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point,

Experience Range

  • Minimum of 13-18 years of proven experience in managing mechanical construction projects, with specific expertise in crude oil tankages using jacking methods.
