Roles and Responsibilities 01

 

  • Develop detailed instrumentation engineering designs, specifications, and technical drawings using INTOOLS (SPI) software.
  • Coordinate with Process, Electrical, and Mechanical teams to integrate instrumentation designs into overall project plans.
  • Lead technical reviews, including HAZOP studies, to ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., API, ANSI, ISA).
  • Provide expertise in control systems design, including PLC, DCS, and SCADA integration.
  • Specify and procure field instruments such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, and control valves.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in instrumentation design and control systems.

Key Objective of the Job Position

 

  • Provide proposal support for multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents and material and equipment specifications. Resolves specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes and standards.
  • Prepare check and review ILD, IO counts, P & IDs, Loops, Logical checks etc.
  • Involve in Pre-comm, Commissioning activities as necessary at site.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 12-20 years of experience in instrumentation design within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA) and their application in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as API, ANSI, and ISA relevant to instrumentation and control systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.

Computer Software Proficiency

  • Proficiency in INTOOLS (SPI) software and AutoCAD for instrumentation design.

Work Environment

  • Requires the ability to travel to client, Engineering partner & Vendor Locations as well as project sites whenever required. Ability to work overtime as needed based on project.
