Roles and Responsibilities 03

  • Manage the installation, erection, and commissioning of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors within crude oil storage tank facilities.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment while maintaining compliance with project schedules and budget constraints.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and quality assessments during equipment installation and erection phases to verify alignment, performance, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Develop and implement commissioning procedures and test protocols for rotating equipment to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to review design specifications, resolve technical issues, and optimize equipment performance during the commissioning phase.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field personnel, ensuring safe working practices and adherence to environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation including installation reports, commissioning procedures, and equipment performance evaluations.
  • Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and safety audits to contribute to the overall project success and adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards.

 

Education Qualifications

Educational Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (15-20 years) in the installation, erection, and commissioning of rotating equipment in industrial or oil and gas settings, particularly within crude oil storage tank projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, equipment alignment techniques, and rotating machinery specifications.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to industrial construction projects.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and interface with stakeholders at all levels.
