The company provides infrastructure services and is involved in the construction of infrastructure projects such as viaducts, flyovers, metros, bridges, pipelines, roads, ports, barrages, oil and gas projects etc.

Roles and Responsibilities 01

Instrumentation Design Review 

• Specification and selection of field instruments to meet performance criteria.
• Instrument sizing calculations (control valves, relief valves, flow elements and thermo well vibration calculation.
• Specifications, selection and purchase of process control and safety systems.
• Functional designs of the process control logic and safety logic.
• Create and manage instrumentation scope work for project.
• Oversee development of detailed drawings, including instrument plans, details, wiring, loops and fabrication drawings.
• Interface with the project management team and client. Develop and maintain labor and material estimate for projects.
• Develop and maintain instrumentation progress, schedule, staffing, planning and co-ordination with project management including regular reporting.

• Identifying opportunities for application of good engineering practices/ innovative practices to enhance quality of delivery.
• Monitoring the documentation of learning’s from the project on an annual basis.
• Ensuring co-ordination between HO, project departments and all dependent concerned individuals.
• Ensuring transparency in Employee performance management. Timely completion of fair Annual Performance Appraisals and submission. Timely Recognition of exceptional performance. Provide Inputs for Performance management and identification of training needs.
• Ensure adequate understanding of responsibilities of subordinates individually and collectively as a team to accomplish work assigned.
• Grooming of sub-ordinates, coaching, mentoring, and providing timely assistance to subordinates. Address grievances of subordinates.
• Inputs and support for succession planning for critical roles. Charting out Employees future career Path along with Project Manager and Business Unit Head and emphasis on developing future leaders as a part of succession Planning for Critical roles.

Key Objective of the Job Position

• Select, lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of professional Instrument Design engineers and technical support staff to ensure that Instrumentation engineering is completed on time within budget and as per the set goals.
• Provide proposal support for multiple proposal simultaneously
• Co-ordinate with project discipline manager to ensure correct implementation of the design for his engineering specialty and co-ordinates the work of engineer with his specialty.
• Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents and material and equipment specifications. Resolves specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes and standards.
• Prepare check and review ILD, IO counts, P & IDs, Loops, Logical checks etc.
• Involve in Pre-comm, Commissioning activities as necessary at site.

Education Qualifications

Educational Essential: B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent from a reputed Institute/University. Minimum experience of 10 to 15 years.

Educational Desirable: M.E in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent from a reputed Institute/University, advanced technical knowledge in Instrumentation engineering.

Computer Software Proficiency

Good knowledge of international codes and standards like ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI, MSS, IS BS, DIN etc.
Good working knowledge of 3D modeling software like AUTOPLANT/PDS/PDMS/SP3D.
Working knowledge of Caesar II will be an added advantage.

Experience Range

Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in Instrumentation Design of Projects involving Offshore Platform.

Work Environment

Requires the ability to travel to client sites. Ability to work overtime as needed based on project.
Mostly Office work and occasional Field travel.
