The company provides infrastructure services and is involved in the construction of infrastructure projects such as viaducts, flyovers, metros, bridges, pipelines, roads, ports, barrages, oil and gas projects etc.

Roles and Responsibilities 01

Electrical Design Review

  • Preparation of Single line diagrams (SLDs) for HV & LV Switchgear, AC/ DC UPS, Solar Power system, Lighting and small power distribution board etc.
  • Preparation of Electrical load list.
  • Knowledge of Power system studies.
  • Sizing calculation for Transformers, switchgear, UPS, Solar Power system, cables and cable trays.
  • Overall evaluation and preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation.
  • Vendor Drawing Review of Electrical Packages like, Transformer, UPS DG sets, Switchgear, Power panels, Solar Power system and NAV-AID system, Cathodic Protection, Heat Tracing, and Electrical Bulk items co-ordination with vendors.
  • Preparation of Electrical BOQ, Power/Earthing/Lighting/Cable/Cable tray/MCT/Lighting and small power/JB/LCS/Cable Termination etc. Installation.
  • Preparation of Layouts like Electrical Equipment, Lighting & Small power, cable and cable tray, Earthing & grounding.
  • Preparation of schematic and interconnection diagram, cable schedule etc.
  • Should have good numerical skills and proficiency in all MS applications.
  • Experience in high voltage plants, electrical systems, renewable energy system and wind turbine technology.

  • Grooming of sub-ordinates, coaching, mentoring, and providing timely assistance to subordinates. Address grievances of subordinates.
  • Inputs and support for succession planning for critical roles. Charting out Employees future career Path along with Project Manager and Business Unit Head and emphasis on developing future leaders as a part of succession Planning for Critical roles.
  • Implement Employee engagement initiatives for employees at Project Site like team Building initiatives, Innovation, Motivation and Commitment, building effective teams.

Key Objective of the Job Position

 

  • Provide proposal support for multiple proposal simultaneously
  • Co-ordinate with project discipline manager to ensure correct implementation of the design for his engineering specialty and co-ordinates the work of engineer with his specialty.
  • Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents and material and equipment specifications. Resolves specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes and standards.
  • Prepare check and review SLD, Power consumption computations, Lighting calculations, sizing of electrical eqpt etc.
  • Involve in Pre-comm, Commissioning activities as necessary at site.

Education Qualifications

Educational Essential: B.E in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a reputed Institute/University. Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience.

Educational Desirable: B.E in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a reputed Institute/University. Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience.

Computer Software Proficiency

Specialized in International Codes and Standards like ASME, BS/PD 5500, API, ANSI, ISO NFPA, ASTM, AWS, AISC, ISA, OISD, TEMA, IBR etc.

Experience Range

  • Minimum experience: 5 to 20 years
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Electrical systems required for Offshore Process/Wellhead platforms, refinery and storage tanks etc.
  • Experience in Electrical system studies, Calculation, data sheets, specification, schematics & layouts, and material requisition.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of electrical engineering practices, economic principles and calculation methods, international codes, standards and specification.
  • Mandatory Experience in handling Process Platform Projects of comparable size and complexity in an EPC environment.

Work Environment

  • Requires the ability to travel to client sites. Ability to work overtime as needed based on project.
  • Mostly Office work and occasional Field travel.
