SR. ENGINEER/ASST. MGR - DESIGN (WATER)

Roles and Responsibilities 01

• Ensuring detailed design and drawings / review of WTP, Intakes, MS/DI/HDPE Pipeline projects.

Detailed Design

• Detailed design / review of designs provided by external consultant.
• Assisting Design Manager for
• Developing and carrying out construction stage design checks.
• Preparing the construction sequence to be adopted during construction in discussion with Team leader and Planning Team.
• Finalizing the scheme, designing large pumping station, Treatment plant structures and structures related to pipeline.
• Preparation and review of submittals such as method statements and taking responsibility of all design issues and ensuring successful delivery of design documents.

Design Submission and review of Design for Approval / Monitoring Work progress

• Assisting Design Manager for
• a.Preparing design and issuing good for construction (GFC) document.
• b.Ensuring completion of design review prior to the commencement of construction process."
• Discussing design queries with Design Manager before submission for client approval during construction stage.

Key Objective of the Job Position

Key Objective of the Job Position

• Developing cost-effective design layouts based on construction requirements and specifications adhering to established design guidelines and procedures.
• Performing civil design analysis and calculations as per project requirements, determining construction cost and material estimates based on civil designs.
• Performing field surveys and investigations to prepare engineering drawings.
• Reviewing Project Plan and determining the design feasibility and constraints, using latest software and technologies to develop effective designs; and managing design projects within allotted timelines and budgets.

Education Qualifications

Essential:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering 

Desirable: 

MTech in Structures

Computer Software Proficiency

Experience Range

• Minimum 5 - 10 years’ experience in planning and design of river/lake intake with intake bridge, Large Pumping stations, Treatment plant structures, Elevated service reservoir, Ground reservoir, Structures related to pipeline

Work Environment

• May need to travel to work sites at domestic or overseas locations. Majorly operating from project site.
