Roles and Responsibilities 01

Project Planning Activities

• Preparation of construction schedule, method statement, Time cycles, equipment deployment schedule, Impacted schedule.
• Discussing the prepared detailed work plan (activities) based on the project objectives and contractual specifications with site team and Head Office Planning Manager.
• Developing a schedule along with critical path for commissioning of different phases along with cost loading in Primavera P6 (in consultation with Site Planning In charge and Head office Planning Manager). 
• Discussing the prepared L1 Schedule in primavera, equipment requirement, equipment deployment schedule, method statement for major activities, delay analysis and mapping of delay of event from base line schedule (in consultation with Site Planning In charge and Head office Planning In charge). 
• Preparing Impact schedule. 
• Discuss the time cycle for various construction activities with Head Office Planning Team and Site Planning In charge.
• Monitoring Time Cycle with plan vs actual and productivity of equipment and manpower.

Roles and Responsibilities 02

Project Planning Activities

• Recording and monitoring various activities with other departments like engineering for all design issues, maintaining records for drawing issue register.
• Preparing minutes of meeting (MOM) and various presentations for management. 
• Discuss with the procurement team for various activities of procurement for required resources, and its material specification.
• Coordinating with site planning and construction team for various construction issues like progress, directing the construction activities towards milestone and subsystem completion with respect to commissioning update. 
• Discussion about prepared schemes and sequence drawings with the Head Office Planning Team and Site Planning In charge for the major critical activities involved in the project. 
• Prepare and submit budget related activities such as Work Plan, Direct Cost, Indirect Cost, Cash Flow Summary to MIS. 
• Prepare project Planning activities for various Marine and Industrial Projects involving construction activities of Jetties, berth, Harbors, Quay Wall, Ports, Material Handling system and Green Energy Projects.

Project Monitoring Activities

1. Review and discussion with Head Office Planning Team and Site Planning In charge for:Daily Progress Report (DPR), Weekly Progress Report (WPR) and Monthly Progress Report (MPR).
2. Prepare comparison of Budgeted Progress vs Actual Progress with the help of s-curve.
3. Prepare reconciliation related to structural steel, rebar, cement, and other consumables. Prepare time-to-time modifications of Project Plan, Schedule, and Budget to adhere to Timelines, Turnover, Profitability, and Cash Flow.
4. Prepare strip Chart Report for representing the status of all structures and activity for internal management as well as for client.

Key Objective of the Job Position

To ensure achievement of project objectives on time, within budget and within contractual conditions by developing an overall project plan and schedule, monitor against the same, identify deviations and suggest corrective measures.

Education Qualifications

Educational Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering 
Educational Desirable: Master’s Degree in Civil engineering, PGDM- NICMAR/ PMP Certification

Computer Software Proficiency

AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, Working Knowledge of Primavera / MS Project software is mandatory.

Experience Range

Minimum 3 years of experience in Planning and Monitoring Function of Jetties, berth, Harbors, Quay Wall, Ports, Material Handling system and Green Energy Projects.

Work Environment

Mostly working at corporate office and occasional visit to project sites. Closely working with BU Head, Project Controllers, Project Managers, CMEG and other support departments in carrying out the desired roles and responsibilities. May require working extended hours. Requires Mathematical skills, on the spot calculation capacity. Should be able to manage stress & turbulent situation.
